Niner plans to offer some really fine color-matched RockShox forks. That's sharp.

New DT Forks

New DT Forks
DT's carbon forks have undergone a makeover that's more than skin deep. They've "rooted" the carbon to create consistent strands that connect the steerer, crown, and legs. They look trippy in that unidirectional way, too. Bonus.

Maxxis Ikon Tires

Maxxis Ikon Tires
Remember when our selection of 29er tires consisted of a few molds from WTB and IRC? Now, it's officially tough to keep track of all the models on the market. One new fast-looking option is this 2.2-inch Maxxis Ikon.

SRAM 2x10 X.0 Colors

Of all of SRAM's new X.0 2x10 color combinations, the gray might be my favorite. Subtle and classy, the black and gray combination looks good with anything.

New Syncros Components

New Syncros Components
While sister company Ritchey holds the course with a variety of carbon road and XC components, Syncros is showing a sudden interest in 29ers, with products like this 29er fork (also offered in a 26" wheel version). And why not? Other than a few inroads into DH components, things have been pretty quiet at Syncros for the past few years. These new components could change that. Beautiful bike.

Being away from Whistler for the Winter Games has been a bit sad, but I have had a few games of my own going on.

Goggle testing in the mountains outside of Nelson, BC with the adidas eyewear team. Great trip and great skiing. Thanks to all the cool people that were there.

Training riding and testing in Laguna Beach, CA with Lopes, Hans and a bunch of my bros from home. Mostly on my Rotwild X1 with a 2011 Marzocchi 55 air forks and DT Swiss EXC 1550 wheels. These all mountain bikes can do almost anything.

I even got some time in at the Olympics in Vancouver. What a cool vibe.

Stay tuned for more news from the hills.
